Life Transition & Recovery Coaching

Helping you find your footing again, one courageous step at a time.

I coach women and men through the quiet unraveling of who they thought they were supposed to be, into a life that's actually their own.

For adults in the middle of a real transition. Divorce. Recovery. Empty nest. Career change. Or the quiet realization that something has to change.

Caroline Bailey
If any of this sounds familiar

For years, I became who everyone else needed me to be.

A daughter searching for where she belonged.

A wife trying to hold everything together.

A mother who poured into everyone else.

A woman who lost sight of herself.

If you've had seasons where you didn't recognize your own life, you're not alone, and you're not stuck. There's a way forward that doesn't require you to have every answer before you begin.

The Solo C Method

My Story

It was never about becoming someone new. It was about remembering who I'd been all along.

I coach women and men through the quiet unraveling of who they thought they were supposed to be, into a life that's actually their own.

For years, I became who everyone else needed me to be. A daughter searching for where she belonged. A wife trying to hold everything together. A mother who poured into everyone else. A woman who slowly lost sight of herself.

Life brought experiences I never would have chosen. Adoption. Trauma. Divorce. Addiction. Starting over, more than once. Each one stripped away another layer of who I thought I had to be.

Then something unexpected happened. Through recovery, solo travel, quiet moments of reflection, and the courage to begin again, I discovered that healing wasn't about becoming someone new. It was about remembering who I had been all along.

Today, I combine professional coach training with lived experience to help others navigate life's transitions with clarity, confidence, and practical accountability. Not because I have all the answers, but because I've walked through my own seasons of rebuilding.

My goal isn't simply to help you feel better. It's to help you make meaningful progress.

You don't have to stay stuck. Sometimes the next chapter begins the moment you remember who you are.

Coaching Philosophy

People don't need to be rescued. They need someone who'll walk beside them.

My clients don't need perfection from me. They need someone who understands, in a real way, what it feels like to rebuild, and who can hold space for that without rushing them through it. At the center of it, that's all this work is: helping people remember who they are.

Coaching

Real transitions. Named plainly.

Not "life coaching" in the abstract. The work is specific. Here's what it might sound like for you.

Six months out from a divorce.

You've moved. You've told everyone. You're technically fine. But you still can't figure out what you actually want next, and you're tired of pretending you do.

A year sober, and now what.

The crisis passed. The meetings are still there. But no one prepared you for the quiet after. For having to actually rebuild a life you want, not just one you can survive.

The last kid just left.

You spent twenty years being needed. The house is quiet. You keep saying you'll figure out what's next, but every time you sit down to think, nothing comes.

If none of these are exactly you, that's okay. Career change, burnout, family addiction, midlife reinvention, or a decision you've been circling for months. The framework is the same.

The Solo C Method

How the work is structured.

Four steps, in order, but not rigid. We move at your pace, revisit steps as needed, and always keep the horizon in view.

01

Gain Clarity

Reconnect with your values. Understand where you actually are today. Build the foundation for what's next.

02

Find Your Direction

Name what matters. Get honest about where you are. See who you're becoming, not who you were.

03

Make Your Plan

Turn uncertainty into a plan you actually believe in. Set realistic goals. Move forward with direction.

04

Stay On Track

Weekly check-ins. Notice your wins. Course-correct without shame. This is where change actually sticks.

Fit

Who this is for, and who it isn't.

Coaching is a good fit if you're…

  • In the middle of a real transition and ready to move through it
  • Willing to do the work between sessions, not just talk about it
  • Looking for both reflection and practical next steps
  • Ready for honest accountability, delivered with care

Coaching is not the right fit if you're…

  • In crisis and need immediate mental health support
  • Looking for therapy, diagnosis, or treatment of a mental health condition
  • Seeking legal, financial, or medical advice
  • Not yet ready or willing to take action

Coaching is not therapy. If you're in crisis, please contact a licensed mental health professional or call/text 988. I'm glad to help you find the right resource if you need it.

Questions

A few things people ask.

Is this therapy?

No. Coaching is forward-focused and action-oriented. If you're working through clinical mental health needs, a licensed therapist is the right fit, sometimes alongside coaching, sometimes instead of it.

Is this only for people in recovery?

No. Recovery is one specialty, not the only one. I coach adults through divorce, burnout, empty nest, career change, and reinvention. Men and women alike.

What if I don't know exactly what I need yet?

That's normal. It's exactly what the discovery call is for. You don't need a clear ask. Just a willingness to talk it through.

How long do people typically work together?

It varies. Some clients come for a focused season around one transition; others stay on for ongoing accountability. We'll figure out what makes sense for you.

Do you work with men?

Yes. My clients are men and women, roughly 35 to 65, navigating a real transition. The framework doesn't discriminate.

A Memoir · Two Suitcases, Solo Travel, and a Path to Freedom

The personal journey that became the coaching. A story about the end of a marriage, solo trips to Spain and Costa Rica taken to hear my own thoughts again, and the slow work of a spiritual and personal transformation.

Google for the practical questions. God for the ones no search bar can answer.

Currently in its final stage of editing. The book and the coaching aren't two separate things. They hold up the same idea from two different sides. If one resonates, the other probably will too.

What it's about

A memoir about learning to hear yourself again.

The book traces the end of a long marriage, the surprising freedom of solo travel, a season of recovery, and the quiet spiritual work of coming home to yourself. It's the fuller version of the story sketched on the About page, the one that eventually became the Solo C Method.

If the book resonates
